Ledyda will give actors 100,000 UAH for new wardrobe

On Thursday, April 4, the head of the region Oleksandr Ledyda met with the staff of the Transcarpathian Regional State Musical and Drama Theatre.

         During the meeting with the head of RSA, employees of the theater and actors could express their requests, suggestions and comments to improve the work of the largest theater in the region.

         So, first of all, theater workes noted that the regional theater, having significant artistic achievements, being popular in other cities, deserves to have academic status. Oleksandr Ledyda assured that the issue will be considered at one of the sessions of the Regional Council. If the academic status is awarded, the average salary of employees of the theater will grow by 20-100%.

         Now, the theater is being repaired: in winter the heating system began functioning at full capacity; the stage, some elements of the hall, the facade still need to be repaired.

         – In recent years, a lot has been done: windows, heating system have been replaced.   Of course, there is still a lot of work to do, and we continue working, – Oleksandr Ledyda said.

         In particular, the theater needs modern technical equipment: stage lighting and sound.

         Also the head of the region was asked to assist in purchasing costumes and special shoes. The head of the region said that soon the Regional Drama Theatre receives 100,000 to renew the stage wardrobe.
