Ledida has also remembered of Shevchenko

The head of the regional administration Alexandr Ledida has issued a decree on the celebration of the 200th anniversary of a great poet, writer and artist Taras Shevchenko. The document approves an action plan for 2012-2014.

Officials have been obliged to lay flowers at the Taras Shevchenko’s monument in the city of Uzhgorod and towns and villages of the region twice a year – in March and May. A concert program of the works of Taras Shevchenko under the name "Wreath to Kobzar" should be prepared. Honoured Transcarpathian Folk Choir has to prepare and introduce a program in the cities and districts of the region based on the works of Shevchenko. In the exhibition halls of museums in Transcarpathia it is planned to organize exhibitions of works on the subject of Shevchenko, under the title "My beautiful land, magnificent, rich …". In secondary schools students will be shown the films on topic: "The Dream", "Taras Shevchenko", "Testament".
