Law enforcement officers arrested the man who killed his girlfriend because of jealousy (PHOTOS)

Officers of Mukachevo Police Department detained a man who may be involved in the murder of his partner.

Today, June 23, on Marhitych street, officers of the patrol police detained a man with traces of blood on his clothes. The man, who has been previously convicted for causing grievous bodily harm and robbery, is suspected of the murder of his partner motivated by jealousy. The 54-year-old resident of Mukachevo told law enforcement officers that around 2 am he had quarreled with a 44-year-old woman he was cohabiting with. Eventually the conflict escalated into a fight. According to the suspect, he hit her repeatedly on the head and then strangled with a pillow.

The police solved the murder in less than an hour and a half. Officers of Mukachevo Police Department detained the man in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. The investigative team went to the scene of the crime. A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code, ie murder. This offense is punishable by imprisonment for seven to fifteen years.
