Last night, heads of all law enforcement agencies of Uzhgorod were raised from the sleep because of the arson of the lawyer Nemesh’s car

This morning uzhgorod.in reported that at night there was a fire in the car Volkswagen Transporter T5 which belongs to a citizen born in 1959, a private entrepreneur. As it turned out later, the car is registered for the wife of the famous Transcarpathian lawyer Petro Nemesh. As the victim himself reported to uzhgorod.in, he attributes the crime to his professional activities, namely he suspects that it was the vengeance of a colleague. The lawyer estimates the cost of the car at about 20 thousand dollars.

According to the press service of the Uzhgorod Prosecutor, they are supervising the pre-trial investigation into the criminal offense – intentional destruction of or damage to another’s property, committed by arson (Part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – punishable by imprisonment of three to fifteen years). 

Uzhgorod city prosecutor Artem Ivanov, the head of Uzhgorod city police department Yevhen Kalytych, the deputy head of Uzhgorod city police department Anatoly Shkyrta and the investigative team arrived at the scene.

The fire damaged the car interior – the dashboard on the right side – and the engine compartment. After the examination, the vehicle was taken to the Uzhgorod police impound lot.

The information on this fact was included in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. Uzhgorod prosecutors took the course of preliminary investigation under control.
