Land tax and rent rates in Uzhgorod have changed

The land tax and real estate tax rates were changed today by the decision of the Uzhgorod City Council session.

The deputies supported the draft decision "On local taxes and fees".

The rate for land plots owned by individuals and legal entities and being in permanent use by legal entities of state and communal ownership, as of January 1, 2019, shall amount to 0.7 to 1% of their monetary value.

As of January 1, 2019, the rate for land plots that are permanently used by legal entities and individuals (except for state and communal ownership) shall be 2%.

The rate for land plots for erection and operation of railway transport buildings and structures shall be 1.5%.

The rate for land plots for residential development shall remain 0.03%.

As for the tax on real estate, other than land plot, the following rates are set:

– for residential buildings – 0.5% of the established minimum wage;

– for non-residential buildings – 0.75% to 1.25% of the established minimum wage, – the Uzhgorod City Council informed.
