Yesterday, at the bishop’s residence of Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese in Uzhgorod, Bishop Milan with the Vice-Bishop Nil awarded Transcarpathian journalists with the Diocesan Prize of Y.Terelya.
The event started with a prayer for the killed civilians in the East.
Then they proceeded with the awards ceremony, which took place for the fifth time. For a series of pieces on spiritual topics, the Diocesan Journalism Prize of Y. Terelya was awarded to journalists Natalia Karalkina, Oleksandr Havrosh and Vasyl Ilnytsky. Episcopal certificates we also awarded (for "the work for the good of our people") to journalists Olga Stefanets, Miroslava Halas, Tetyana Hrytsyschuk and the author of this article. The ceremony was complemented with carols performed by the Choir named after A.Voloshin.
This year, they plan to unveil the monument to Bishop Andriy Bachynsky and to arrange the park in front of the residence. The event finished with a visit to the exhibition of portraits of Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese bishops, which had opened there recently. The originals are kept in the Art Museum.
