In the great hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, the famous violinist from Italy Davide Alonya performed with the Transcarpathian Symphony Orchestra and the Academic Transcarpathian folk choir.
But there was another good reason to come to the great hall of the former synagogue – on that evening there was the world premiere of the symphony "World" by a young 32-year-old Chinese composer, Dr. Man-Ching Yu, which was performed by two large groups of the Regional Philharmonic: Transcarpathian Symphony Orchestra and the Honored Transcarpathian Academic Folk Choir.
The work on the symphonic piece performed by the folk choir, orchestra and soloists – Oleksandr Toth, Yana Sadvari, Vasylyna Holyanych and Olga Svyda – lasted less than two months.
By the way: Uzhgorod became the 4th Ukrainian city hosting premieres of pieces by the Chinese composer. His experimental music has already been performed in the cities of Odesa, Luhansk and Chernivtsi.
