On Sobranetska street, they renovated the house adjacent to the "home" of the Chop customs. Instead of peeling facade we see a carefully whitewashed one – the building looks significantly nicer. Apparently, they did it to avoid too much contrast with the manicured façade of the customs office, which they, obviously, worry about the most.
However, it seems that it were not the owners who took care of the facade of the building on Sobranetska street, but the city. And then the question arises – what caused such close attention to this particular building?
If it was the fact of neighboring to the customs office, then we have a proposition. In order to improve the rest of the buildings that are crying out for help (among them – historical ones, those belonging to valuable buildings and downright architectural gems), the Chop customs should be regularly relocated to a new office.
And, maybe, in order not to be ashamed of neighboring façades, they will be renovated too. Thus we will gradually repair the whole city…
By the way, we already have a specific proposal, where to move the organization in order to improve the state of the facade – for example, to the building near the school number 4, on the corner of Sobranetska and Pidhradska streets. This beautiful building is terribly abandoned. Customs office’s influence would be very useful here…
