It is proposed to increase the attractiveness of Transcarpathia as a tourist region at the expense of the regional budget
The draft decision on amendments to the Program of tourism and resorts development in Transcarpathian region for 
2016-2020 is submitted for consideration at the third session of the Regional Council, scheduled for April 5.
 
        As emphasized by the developer of the project, which is the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the  RSA, the 
amendments to these Program of tourism and resorts development in Transcarpathian region in 2016-2020 approved by 
the decision of the Regional Council of December 22, 2015 are proposed to be made for effective use of the funds for 
the implementation of the program, taking into account the proposals for the development of rural tourism and to ensure 
cooperation with the regional investment fund for implementation of the program "Your own house" to provide support for 
starting a business in rural tourism, dissemination of information about tourism and recreational attractiveness of the 
region.
       The funding source is the regional budget. The estimated volumes of financing are: 2016 – UAH 1,608.0 thousand; 
2017 – UAH 1,755.0 thousand; 2018 – UAH 1,842.0 thousand; 2019 – UAH 1,869.0 thousand; 2020 – UAH 1,960.0 
thousand.
         
They expect to enhance the attractiveness of Transcarpathia as a tourist region, improve the quality of tourism services, 
increase tourist flows and expand their geography in Transcarpathia through the improvement of road infrastructure, 
activation of the tourist industry in the region, ensuring the ongoing public consultation on the development of tourism 
and resorts, appropriate presentation and cooperation with tour operators in Ukraine and neighboring countries, 
spreading the positive image of tourism in Transcarpathia on domestic and international markets through participation in 
special events.
