This was announced by the expert on decentralization Volodymyr Feskov.
Thus, the city of Mukachevo, as well as the villages of Lavky, Shenborn, Nove Davydkovo, Nyzhniy Koropets and Pavshyno, today, on June 5, were recognized as the united community at the state level.
This is the 7th community in the Transcarpathian region, which is the largest in area (96 sq. km) and the population (93.5 thousand people).
"The merger process lasted from May to October 2018. It was very hard. And in this process there was everything: betrayals and victories, supporters and opponents. More than 11 public discussions, numerous meetings with members of local councils, extensive information campaign among local residents, memorandums and other documents on intentions, joint meetings and discussions. And every day there were "surprises" from our opponents. The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Moskal, the head of the District State Administration Haidai (then Tokar), their deputies were frankly opposing us. There were intimidation and threats. After October, another phase of work began. To prove the government that Mukachevo community is a matter of territorial interest. Numerous letters to the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Regional Development, preparation for voting for the Budget for 2019. Eventually, the community was included to the budget at 04:47 am, and the Cabinet of Ministers was obliged to recognize it as capable. And finally, it happened today", – Volodymyr Feskov said.
Feskov added that this is just the beginning of a big work.
