A new conceptual sculpture is likely going to decorate the center of the city.
The image, where the monument is already "installed" near the Town Hall, was posted by the famous sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko, who used an old photograph and the image of the sculpture for photomontage.
The sculpture apparently depicts a Jew carrying a ritual goose. Most likely, this monument is intended to be dedicated not only to the Jewish community, which constituted a huge part of the population of Mukachevo before the Second World War, but also hints at the favorite holiday of the city – the day of St. Martin, which has geese as one of its attributes.
However, it is unknown at the time whether this is a project that is already being implemented, or just a proposed idea. As you know, in Mukachevo, there are monuments to a chimney-sweep, Roma janitor, and geese sculptures that have become popular with tourists.
