On October 13, 2016, the Law of Ukraine of September 20, 2016 № 1534-VIII "On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On state regulation of production and trade of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products" regarding the wholesale of alcoholic drinks made from own (not purchased) wine base" came into force.
In particular, the Law stipulates that an entity, that has received a license to produce alcoholic beverages (grape or fruit wine or honey beverages) and produces them using exclusively their own (not purchased) wine base, may conduct wholesale trade in the listed alcoholic beverages without obtaining a separate license for such wholesale.
