In Uzhgorod, the police caught five robbers in less than an hour

The investigative team of the Uzhgorod Police Department in less than an hour solved a robbery in the regional center of Transcarpathia. Law enforcers found five offenders.

Yesterday, August 9, in the evening, the police received a report of a robbery on Domaninska street in Uzhgorod. The applicant said that five people had approached him and openly took his tool box and a hammer drill.

The investigative team of the Uzhgorod Police Department at the scene found out that a company of young people – four men and a woman – had taken away the personal belongings from a 34-year-old resident of Uzhgorod. During the operational-search activities, in less than an hour, the law-enforcers found all the persons involved in the robbery. Those were a company of young people, who were returning from a party on a river bank and decided to enrich themselves illegally. The police caught four men aged 30 to 42 and a 33-year-old woman. All of them are residents of Uzhgorod. Physical evidence was seized.

The actions of the group have signs of a criminal offense stipulated in Part 2 of Art. 186 of the CCU, that is, the robbery committed by a group of persons. The investigation in this case continues.
