In Uzhgorod, the police caught an offender, who had long been into hiding

Officers of the patrol company of Uzhgorod city police detained a 20-year-old inhabitant of the region, who had been hiding from law enforcement officers for committing robbery and theft.
 
In November 2014, officers of Uzhgorod district police identified a 20-year-old offender, who, along with his accomplices, had robbed a 23-year-old inhabitant of the village of Kholmtsi in Uzhgorod district. The robbers took the victim’s bike, mobile phone and money in the amount of 1,000 UAH.
 
As it turned out later, this young man had also committed a series of thefts from garages and houses in the district. The thief specialized in thefts of bicycles.
 
The young thief is an orphan, he was raised in the orphanage. He started stealing early in life. He was repeatedly caught for stealing and spent several years in prison.
 
Criminal proceeding over this fact was initiated under Part 2 of Art.186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Robbery). Realizing that he could not escape punishment, the young man went into hiding from the investigation. His was declared wanted and now finally he has been detained.
 
The offender was taken into custody. The case has been sent to court.
