In Uzhgorod district, pyrotechnics destroyed an F-1 grenade

Today, the bomb squad of the special rescue unit of the State Emergenies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region destroyed an F-1 grenade found in the village of Kamyanytska Huta in Uzhgorod district.

A worker of the village club notified rescuers about the discovery of the explosive device at 10:00. While cleaning up the surrounding area, the man found a suspicious object, looking like an explosive device, so he decided not to take a risk and called 101. No other explosives during the control examination of the area using a metal detector, were found. Bomb experts took the grenade and destroyed it at the military training ground in the village of Orikhovytsya.

Dear citizens, if you find any suspicious metal objects similar to explosive, do not touch them and not try to defuse the bomb. Instead, mark the place of discovery, report it to the authorities, local government, police or call the Rescue Service 101.
