In Uzhgorod, a shop burgler was caught

Officers of the Criminal Investigation of Uzhgorod city police in hot pursuit identified the offender, who at night had stolen four sewing machines from a store in Uzhgorod. For this prank, the man faces imprisonment for up to six years.
 
Recently, a 37-year-old saleswoman of one of Uzhgorod shops selling sewing machines filed a statement to Uzhgorod city police. The woman reported that at night, an unknown person had entered inside the facility and stolen from there four sewing machines. The amount of damage is about 20,000 UAH.
 
In hot pursuit, officers of Uzhgorod city police criminal investigation department found out that the theft had been committed by a 25-year-old of Uzhgorod. The thief confessed to the crime and said that he had entered the store by breaking the front door.
 
 
The incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations and the criminal proceeding has been opened under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft), which is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years. The investigation is ongoing.
