In Uzhgorod, 95 live rounds were “found in a puddle”

An interesting incident occurred in the regional center of Transcarpathia – the police detained a man who had "found ammunition."

Yesterday around 11 o’clock, officers of the sector of criminal police for children of Uzhgorod city police department noticed on Zankovetska street in Uzhgorod a man who was picking up something into a cardboard box.

As it turned out, it was 95 rounds of 7.62 mm to Kalashnikov machine-gun. According to the 30-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, he noticed rounds in a puddle and decided to pick them up and bring to the police.

The police seized 95 rounds and sent them for investigation to the Research Forensic Centre at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in the region.

This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. The investigation department of Uzhgorod city police opened criminal proceedings over this fact. The investigation should establish the origin of the rounds.
