In Uzhgorod, 32 projects are contending for the budget of public initiatives

After passing the examination, the selected projects will be admitted to voting, which will begin on November 2 and will last 14 days.

2 projects were submitted by Uzhgorod residents to participate in the Budget of Public Initiatives 2021. The first stage – submission of projects – ended on October 10.

The projects are:

installation of underground containers near the houses at Hodynka st., №8, 10, Adam Mickiewicz st., №9-Oleksiy Bestuzhev-Ryumin st., №12, Boris Tlekhas st., №76 / 74, Tyvodar Lehotsky st., №44;

construction of a modern multifunctional sports ground in the secondary school №1;

installation of video surveillance system in the house №50 on Svoboda Avenue;

construction of a playground at Mikhail Lermontov st., 9A;

arrangement of the adjacent territory at Zhemayte st., 13 and 5A;

installation of devices for shoe cleaning in educational (schools, kindergartens), medical (outpatient clinics, hospitals) institutions and Uzhgorod City Council;

"Education for the elderly. Give hope" – the organization of remote and full-time form training (up to 200 participants in the first year) of 55+ elderly people, the establishment of Uzhgorod University of the Third Age;

navigation and installation of address plates in the city;

air quality monitoring in Uzhgorod;

Uzhgorod – humane city (mass sterilization of cats and dogs);

GreenCityTour – promotion of a healthy lifestyle by informing the public about the importance of active recreation, cycling, preservation and restoration of green areas in the city;

reconstruction project of the children’s amphitheater in the Novy neighbourhood;

digital cemeteries – finding the right grave using geolocation on google maps;

the first solar power plant in an apartment building at Kapushanska st., 151 and others.

The next stage involves the consideration and evaluation of projects by units of the Uzhgorod City Council.
