In Ukraine contactless train tickets will be introduced

The Ministry of Infrastructure initiates the introduction of contactless railway tickets. This decision stems from the development of modern technology, and the need to fight speculators.
  
 
Kolesnikov said that in order to fight speculators they planned to introduce at the beginning of the spring the new procedure of the refund for unused tickets.
In particular, said the official, if the ticket is returned less than 3 hours before the departure of the train they will return 50% of its value, if after the departure of the train – only 10%.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Infrastructure also initiated the introduction of a single train ticket to travel with a transfer or in both ways.
On March 30, 2010 The State Railways Administration introduced the procedure for booking of and payment for the ticket online with the subsequent printing of a ticket in booking office.
As it was reported, in September more than 182 000 tickets were sold via the internet, and since the beginning of the year – more than 1.4 million tickets.
