According to her, 23 boxes of cigarettes and one smuggler were detained by border guards of the department "Velyka Palad" in the evening of August 30. A 36-year-old Ukrainian was detained. He tried to move 11.5 thousand packs of excise-free cigarettes to neighboring Hungary.
In another case, 7,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps and two Ukrainians without documents were detained by officers of the department "Rakosh" at about 5 am today. Also this morning, three residents of Tyachiv district were detained near the border with Romania. They tried to run away from law enforcement officers and move 12 boxes of excise-free cigarettes to the neighboring country.
In addition to the fine, the detainees face criminal liability for the crime under Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
