In Transcarpathia, debts for gas have grown by UAH 52 million

During 10 months of 2015, the debt of natural gas consumers in Transcarpathian region has increased by almost UAH 52 million compared with the same period in the last year.

In addition to the 94 million debt to the "Zakarpathaz" JSC accrued before July 1 of this year, domestic consumers have accumulated almost 34 million debt to the new supplier – the "Zakarpathaz Zbut". 

"Therefore, we ask citizens to not delay debt repayment. If you feel that you can not pay for gas with your current income, do not neglect the opportunity to apply for subsidy. Your should not delay with it, because 30,000 customers, who already received it in October this year, (though it is only 11% of the total number of our clients!) can face the coming day with confidence. Subsidies are the future, because compared to the previous year heating period, their amount has increased three times", – the Director of the "Zakarpathaz Zbut" Victoria Tomynets says.

Since the beginning of 2015, debts for blue fuel have led to the disconnection of almost 1.6 thousand household consumers from gas supply. Today, 2.6 thousand consumers are without gas. Warnings of disconnection have been sent to more than 6.3 thousand of our customers.

"Gas is a commodity. If you buy it, you have to pay for it – Victoria Tomynets said. – The debtors will be refused the service. Also, in addition to the amount of the debt, a consumer will have to pay the cost of disconnection from and connection to the gas supply network.For households, it currently costs more than 220 UAH."
