In Transcarpathia, a minor nearly killed a fellow villager

In the village of Korolevo, Vynogradiv district, a 17-year-old boy injured a 22-year-old acquaintance with a sharp object during a quarrel. An investigation has been launched into the crime

According to the Communications Department of Transcarpathian Regional Police, today, July 2, at about 3 am, law enforcement officers received from a resident of Korolevo a report that her son had been injured.

“The police found out that the day before a quarrel had broken out between the 22-year-old victim and his 17-year-old friend. During the conflict, the younger resident of the village of Korolevo struck his opponent in the abdomen with a sharp object. The man was taken to the intensive care unit of the district hospital,” – the statement reads.

Investigators of the Vynogradiv Police Department opened a criminal case under Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over infliction of grievous bodily harm. The 17-year-old boy was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Investigators are currently working to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
