In Rakhov doctor demanded a bribe of $ 300 for registration of child’s disability

A resident of Rakhiv addressed with the statement to the police station. Her infant daughter is sick and has a serious illness disability.

Her mother had intended to extend the formal disability status for five years, followed by pensions for a sick child. However, the doctor demanded a bribe for the assistance in this matter -300 dollars … The woman gave the money, but the doctor didn’t have opportunity to enjoy it:  investigative task force of Rakhiv RA Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived in hospital and found in the presence of witnesses three hundred dollars bills in the doctor’s desk drawer.

Then it became clear that the fact of bribery had been known to the Deputy Head of the hospital, who had been informed about the bribe by this doctor. The head agreed to receive the money, she was present in the surgery when the mother of the sick child brought $ 300, but then withdrew from the room and was not present at the time of the transfer of the bribe. The deputy chief doctor admitted all this at the police in a written form.

On this fact the issue of a criminal case under Art.368 Part 3 of the Criminal Code (bribery on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons) is under consideration,  the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region informs.
