In Mukachevo, a thief was arrested “red-handed”

The owner of the house caught a young thief who was trying to steal metal products from her barn, and called the police.

Law enforcement officers immediately left at the said address. They arrived at the scene just at the time when the thief was loading the stolen goods into a wheelbarrow. Overall, he had taken from the barn hoes, shovels, metal sheet and other metal products. The amount of loss was 700 UAH.

As it turned out, this 24-year-old resident of Mukachevo is unempolyed, has never been brought to criminal liability before, but has repeatedly attracted the attention of police. The boy explained that the lack of funds forced him to do the crime…

Physical evidence was seized. Criminal proceeding was opened over this incident under Art. 15, Part 1, Art. 185 (attempt to robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The attacker faces punishment in the form of a fine, correctional labor for up to 2 years, or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
