In Mizhhirya district, rescuers found a family, who had gotten lost in the mountains

On July 28, at 21:00, the Rescue Service "101" was reported that in the vicinity of the Strymba mountain, near the village of Kolochava in Mizhhirya district, four tourists from Kyiv had gotten lost: a father born in 1969, a mother born in 1966, their 20-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. The tourists had a mobile phone, so when they realized that they had gotten lost, they immediately called rescuers.

4 rescuers and a vehicle of Mizhhirya mountain search and rescue department were sent for search and rescue mission. At 22:30, they found the tourists in the forest near the village of Kolochava and took them to their temporary place of residence in one of the private houses in the village. Their health status was satisfactory, they did not need medical care. Although it could have been much worse for the tourists, given the fact that they went to the mountains completely unprepared, wearing light summer shoes and clothes and being geographically challenged.

Rescuers once again draw attention of citizens to the necessity of observance of safety precautions when traveling in the Ukrainian Carpathians. If you plan to conquer the mountain slopes, be sure to pre-register at the nearest mountain search and rescue department and get advice of rescuers.
