In May, a charity ball “European Spring” will take placein Uzhgorod (Announcement)

The main administrative building of the region is confidently returning to its former reputation as the most representative cultural venue of Transcarpathia, serving as a concert or exhibition hall for leading artists – both local and visiting.

Another proof of that will be a cultural project to be held on May 20 – on the occasion of the International Day of Europe. During this project, world classics will be performed and funds for a charitable cause will be raised.

The Charity Ball "European Spring" was initiated by the RSA Department of Culture with the support of the management of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. As explained by the coordinators, the name of the Ball has several interpretations. First, European spring is very beautiful! The most romantic time of year is probably the most gorgeous on the old continent, which is also associated with exquisite architecture, classical music, balls, gallant gentlemen and ladies in elegant gowns. Second, spring is a symbol of rebirth and prosperity, and this is what we seek, talking about the future of our State. We strive to European spring, renewal and consolidation of society around European values, including, in particular, respect for traditions, cultural development, and charity for those who need it most.

Charitable contributions from guests of the ball and the proceeds from an art auction will be used for the needs of Vilshany orphanage.

Also, it is planned to hold the traditional debutantes waltz during the celebration. For this, the organizing committee invites young people aged 18 to 21 who want to learn the basics of waltzing and perform an honorable mission – to open the ball! By the way, anyone, who plans to attend the "European Spring", may attend special master classes and improve their dancing skills.

The first, so to speak, trial master class will be held already on April 12! Anyone can take part in it, regardless of age and choreographic training. The classes will be held at the Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts under the guidance of professional dance teachers. The beginning is at 18.30.
