Officers of the Beregovo Criminal Police Department identified the woman and her minor son who were involved in three thefts in the city. The investigation was initiated over all instances. This was reported by the official website of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region.
Beregovo police received from the railway station employees a report about the theft of metal from the depot building. A similar report about the theft of scrap metal came from the guard of a garage cooperative in the city of Beregovo.
Officers of the Beregovo Criminal Police Department identified the persons involved in both crimes. They were a 39-year-old resident of the city and her 15-year-old son. In both cases, they broke into buildings through the roof and stole a generator, motors and other metal mechanisms and parts. They were keeping the stolen things kept at home with the intention to sell them later.
Criminal proceedings over the thefts and breaking and entering were opened under Part 3 of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The woman and her son are being checked for involvement in committing other crimes in the city. The seized items were sent for expert examination. The investigation is ongoing.
