The regional state administration submitts to the Regional Council the draft decision "On the Program for support of publication of books by local authors, popularization of Transcarpathian books and promotion of bookselling in 2015 – 2017."
This draft program is needed to promote Ukrainian book and to popularize Transcarpathian authors; to replenish the regional library fund with local literature; to take regional measures to encourage people to read (book and reading festivals, meetings with famous writers of the region, presentations of publications by publishers, bookselling business services, etc.); to support publishers, printing and distribution; to implement activities related to book exhibitions, fairs, round tables with regional media; to honor the best employees of printing, publishing, bookselling business.
The implementation of the priority tasks of the program will contribute to the promotion of Ukrainian books and popularization of works by Transcarpathian authors.
The funding for the program will be carried out at the expense of the regional budget. In 2015, it will amount to 830,000 UAH, in 2016 – 850,000 UAH, in 2018 – 850,000 UAH.
