In 2012 the arrears of wages decreased by nearly 3 million hryvnias

On Friday, January 11, under the direction of the deputy head of the region Mykhailo Popovich there was a telephone conference on arrears in the payment of wages, pensions, stipends and other social benefits.In 2012, they achieved improvements in reducing arrears of salary by 2,947,500 UAH. According to the district administrations and city executive committees, as of January 1, 2013, the arrears of wages at enterprises, organizations, institutions of the region was 10.58 million hryvnias. Compared to December 1, the amount has decreased by 377,900 UAH.In particular, the arrears of economically active enterprises amounted to 2913.2 thousand hryvnias. Compared to December 1, it has decreased by 317,500 UAH.Arrears of wages at bankrupt enterprises is 7,611,400 UAH. Compared with the previous month, it has decreased by 60.4 thousand hryvnias. At companies that have suspended business activities, the debt remained at the previous month’s level – 55,4 thousand hryvnias.  In 5 of the administrative-territorial units of the region there is no arrears: the city of Chop, Irshava, Mizhhirya, Perechyn and Svalyava districts. At the previous conference the Social Policy Minister stressed that special attention should be given to state and municipal enterprises.   As for the debt to the Pension Fund, as of January 1, it was 25,747,500 UAH. In December of 2012 this debt in the region was reduced by 961.0 thousand hryvnias.
