Illegal migrants were detained in Transcarpathia

Three illegal migrants were detained today by border guards of the department "Kosyno" together with cadets of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service. 
  
The patrol spotted three men around one o’clock in the morning. The offenders, having climbed over the fence, intended to enter neighboring Hungary illegally, but failed. They were detained 30 meters to the border. The illegal travelers did not have any documents on them. They told the border guards they were Syrian citizens. The detainees also said that they studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy and allegedly worked as medics for some time, but decided to look for a better life in one of the EU countries, and therefore decided to cross the border illegally. 
The foreigners were taken to the border guard unit to draw up reports on administrative offenses and carry out further filtering measures. Measures are being taken to identify the persons involved in the organization illegal migrants smuggling.
