Today, April 2, in the press center of the newspaper ‘Nedilia’ (The Week) The Most Reverend Theodore appealed to the people who are not indifferent to the humans’ misfortune: ‘Everyday to us, servants of God, come many of those whom befell the misfortune – serious illnesses and sometimes even incurable diseases. Most often, only the donated blood can help them, which now, according to doctors’ words, is in the significant deficit.’ According to the words of the Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod, to replenish the blood bank, there should be a united and coordinated work of the community, church and authority as well as realization of charity campaigns to attract donors.
According to the words of the chairman of NPO ‘United students’ Denis Man, to the move ‘Hurry up to do good things. Share a drop of life!’, which started on March 26, have already joined dozens of students of regional universities. Both at the time of realization of the previous charitable events and now the organizers expect that the number of caring people will grow up to hundreds.
By the way, during this weekend only in the regional center of Transcarpathia nearly 18 patients have received blood transfusion. As the doctor of the Regional Blood Transfusion Station Oleg Shchadey said, the blood transfusion was made only to people with very complex cases. As for the annual indexes they are counted in hundreds.
