Hungary sent Transcarpathia one hundred thousand bags for reinforcement of river banks during the passage of the flood wave
Hungary will assist Transcarpathia in preventing the devastating effects of the autumn flood. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary Zsolt Shemen during a meeting with the Governor. Since Transcarpathian rescuers lack means for bank reinforcement, Hungarian colleagues prepared one hundred thousand bags to be filled with sand and put along the river banks on the way of the flood wave.
H.Moskal instructed Transcarpathian customs office to clear the aid under the simplified procedure.
At night, November 22, the Hungarian truck crossed the Hungarian-Ukrainian border in Chop, the whole load has been handed over to Transcarpathian rescuers. Today, the aid from Hungarian rescuers will be used for reinforcement of the Tisa river banks.
