At the international border crossing point "Tisa" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, representatives of the Government of Hungary delivered to Transcarpathia a shipment of liquid chlorine, which is used to disinfect drinking water.
This humanitarian action is the response to the request of the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal to the Consul General of Hungary in the city of Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhajla to supply Hungarian liquid chlorine for Transcarpathia.
Recall that due to the shutdown of the Ukrainian company "Dnipro-Azot", the stock of chlorine for the uninterrupted operation of the pump-filtering stations of the region will last just for several weeks. After that, the enterprises will be forced to stop centralized supply of water to the citzens, which will inevitably lead to an outbreak of infectious diseases.
Today, a truck with 3 tons of chlorine arrived from Hungary, in general, as noted by Jozsef Buhajla, Hungary is ready to supply up to 15 tons of the chemical to Transcarpathia.
