As noted by many tourists at the famous gastronomic festival of riplyanka in Kolochava, this time the venue of the festival could be reached via a repaired road without potholes. In particular, the famous philanthropist Stanislav Arzhevitin noted that at last he was able to get to Kolochava from Kyiv without worrying for his car.
The program of the festival, which was attended by teams from neighboring villages of Mizhhirya and Tyachiv districts, included a theatrical tour of the museum "Old Village", riding on the Kolochava narrow guage, performances of amateur groups, etc. And the highlight of the event was a workshop in cooking of riplyanka from Hennadiy Moskal.
– In Bukovina, especially in mountainous areas, people also cook a similar meal, but they call it kulesha – the head of the RSA said. – Since corn in the mountains ripens late, there was a shortage of corn flour, so they began to add boiled potatoes in it. This is how riplyanka appeared ("ripa" is a word for potato in the local dialect). I remember the recipe for this dish since childhood.
H.Moskal treated tourists, who have come to the festival from all over Ukraine and abroad, with the riplyanka made by himslef. All the proceeds will be used for the needs of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade, whose soldiers are now at the forefront. The festival of riplyanka in Kolochava continues today.
