Today (August 27, 20) on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, customs officers together with border guards stopped another bus driver, who tried to illegally carry tobacco products by hiding them behind the decorative trim of the vehicle. The resident of Lviv region, born in 1992, was leaving for Italy via the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs by a minibus Mercedes-Benz.

However, based on the results of the analysis and risk assessment, the inspectors decided to conduct an in-depth inspection of the vehicle. And they were right. They used technical means, namely: a mirror, a flashlight, an endoscope and a screwdriver. As a result, they found 600 packs of cigarettes carefully hidden in the structural cavities and behind the side walls of the passenger compartment of the minibus. The access became possible after dismantling the decorative cladding of the minibus interior walls and plywood sheets, which were fastened with self-tapping screws and covered the structural cavities.Currently, a report on violation of customs rules under Article 483 Part 1 of the Customs Code of Ukraine has been drawn up. The found cigarettes worth more than UAH 30,000 and the minibus MERCEDES-BENZ, model SPRINTER 313 CDI (2006) were seized pending court decision.
