The state forest protection service of the Brustury forestry enterprise invites you to listen to the deer’s mating bellow.

According to the latest calculations, it is estimated that 1,862 European deers live in hunting grounds in Transcarpathia. Now, the dears are in heat, that is, mating period. The animal’s bellow can be heard for many kilometers and it is an unforgettable spectacle. Strong animals, following the instinct to compete for a female, gracefully fight each other.

"The deer’s bellow during heat can be heard from the middle of September to November, but the most active period of heat is in late September – early October. On this occasion, the state forest protection service of the Brustury forestry enterprise invites everyone to listen to the deer’s bellow in the woods. Tourists will be accompanied by experienced foresters and rangers", – Mykhailo Bihun, the director of the Brustury forestry enterprise, says.

If you want to take part in the trip, you must pre-register at the forestry department. Trips will be held early in the morning or late in the evening.
