Guarantor signed the law against Chernobyl sufferers

President Viktor Yanukovych signed the law on state guarantees on the enforcement on the court decision implementation, against which the Chernobyl sufferers protested.

On fact of signing the Law № 4901-VI Ukrainska Pravda reports with reference to the official website of the Guarantor. As it is known, the draft law, which guarantees the execution of court decisions and cancels privileges for certain categories of people, was supported by 259 deputies on June 5.

Vice Speaker Adam Martyniuk, assures that the 2nd part of the law, which is considered to be the most "problematic" will not start its work immediately, but from January 1, 2013, at the same time Cabinet of Ministers must prepare the relevant legislative acts up to 2014.

Last autumn, it was this bill that caused a wave of protests from the "Chernobyl" and "Afghanistan" sufferers. On June 6th already this year, the liquidators of the accident at Chernobyl came back to picket the parliament.
