“Gorsvet’s” debts to be cleared with the money that had to be spent on the repair of house yards

Today, on July 18, during a meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod city council, the head of the Department of Municipal Service Alexey Kasperov asked the members of the executive committee to support the newly established utility "Uzh-Svet", which has inherited huge debts for electricity and wages from the “Gorsvet” (a state-owned electricity enterprise).

The official offered to bring the matter of allocation of 250 thousand UAH to clear these debts to the session, and to find them in the city budget by reducing expenditures on repairs of residential houses yards on Chelyuskintsev street, Mozhaiska street, Liberty avenue , Minayska street and others.

The First Deputy Mayor, a member of Transcarpathian Regional Council Victor Trikur asked whether the new head of the enterprise had plans to get “Uzh-Svet” out of the debt pit, and if the CE earned a lot on advertising. The Head admitted that the contracts for the advertisement, attached to the poles of outdoor lighting, are not formalized, and the suppliers of such advertising pay off with … light bulbs.

A member of the executive committee Margarita Moshchak asked why the street lights are switched off at 3 o’clock in the morning, long before sunrise, but the new head of the company was unable to answer this question.
