Former Sitchovyk (Sitch Kozak) to be assigned a “Ukrainian Hero” posthumously

Mikhail Petrychko, former Sitch warrior, the participant of Carpathian Ukraine, may get the title of "Hero of Ukraine" posthumously. With such a petition Chynadievo village council addressed to Mukachevo district council.
On May 31 at the session, Mukachevo district deputies decided to apply to the regional administration for it to make presentation in the prescribed manner to the President of Ukraine. Note that Mikhail Petrovich Petrichko overcame labour camps, a threat of death penalty and against all odds popularized and promoted the idea of Ukraine. In 1991 he was awarded the III degree Order of Merit.
