Folk festival “Kvasivsky lizhnyk” in the village Kvasy of Rakhiv district

September 18 – folk festival "Kvasivsky lizhnyk" is held in Kvasy village, Rakhiv district. Lizhnyk is a blanket made of sheeps’ wool with a peculiar colour pattern specific to certain area Hutsul territory which is an inherent part Hutsul hosehold. Lizhnyk gives pleasant warmth from cold, decorates the interior, and it is an important element of the wedding ritual, symbolizing wealth and comfort.
