Firefighters eliminated the fire at a woodworking company (PHOTO)

On the morning of August 26, a fire occured in the village of Simer in Perechyn district. At the woodworking enterprise located on Budivelnyky street, a drying chamber for wood caught fire. At 4:28, the owner of the company reported the fire to the rescue service.

Two firefighter crews of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Unit were immediately sent the scene. Due to the lack of water sources, a volunteer fire squad of the "Perechyn Wood-Chemical Plant" was involved to bring the water from the fire hydrant in the city of Perechyn. There were also difficulties with access to the hearth of the fire. The fire originated in the depths of the drying chamber, and the way there was obstructed with numerous containers of chopped firewood. Therefore, they had to take out undamaged boxes into the street, and then put out the burning wood.   Despite all the difficulties, the fire was localized at 6:47, and at 9:02 – completely eliminated.

The authorities are finding out the cause of the fire. One the probable versions is a violation of the process. Through the efforts of firefighters, the building of the drying chamber and tangible assets in the amount of 300,000 UAH, that were inside, were saved from destruction.
