‘Festival of festivals’ – ‘YevroKarpaty-2012’ brought together the representatives from nearly 20 tourist tracks in Transcarpathia for the third time.
People drank not only the wine and honey, but also floated kayaks, looked for some souvenirs, sang Ukrainian folk songs, danced and tasted Transcarpathian dishes in the village of Dubky in Uzhgorod district today, May 4.
The specialists of cheese, honey, wine, gastronomic, sports, castle and other tourist tracks and 93 tour guides gathered to discuss plans for this year’s season, analyze the mistakes of previous one and show how people should prepare for the guests coming from Europe. There were more than 320 festivals in Transcarpathia last year. It is too many, emphasized the head of the UzhNU Department of Tourism Fedir Shandor that is why they are holding today ‘the festival of critics and internal wrangles’ – they decide what event they should ‘give a green light’ and which they should reject.
They taught everyone who wanted how to cook goulash soup and treated them with donuts and jam. The guys from the Uzhgorod club of historical reconstruction of the Middle Ages demonstrated theatrical performance battles, and not far from with the tennis court of the Regional Children’s and Youth Palace ‘PADIUN’ demonstrated miniatures of castles and houses made with their hands. Even guests from Sumy, Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions arrived to look at the local tourist products.
