Yesterday, October 5, at about 20.55, the police received a report about a road accident with victims on Masaryk street in Mukachevo.
At the scene of the accident, the investigative team found out that 27-year-old driver of a Skoda Octavia moving towards the city of Irshava had hit a pedestrian. The man was crossing the carriageway in a wrong place. The pedestrian, a 45-year-old resident of Mukachevo, died at the scene of the accident.
The driver, a resident of Mukachevo district, was tested. He was sober.
The police opened criminal proceedings under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A number of examinations to determine all the circumstances of the car accident have been scheduled. The pre-trial investigation in the case continues.
