According to the village head, the tourist board was established to represent the interests of the Hungarian minority, which is engaged in the development of tourism in our region. In addition, representatives of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Tourist Board will travel to Budapest, where they will be presenting opportunities of Transcarpathia and inviting tourists to our region.

One of the first events promoted by the Board will be the "Week of Hungarian Cuisine in Transcarpathia," which will be held this year for the fifth time.  This idea was based on the foreign promotion "Fat Thursday" when there are 50% discounts on all food. In Transcarpathia, they decided to extend it to a week in order to attract more tourists. The difference is that on all the days of the campaign, other than Thursday, it is 25% off the prices for Hungarian dishes, and on the very "Fat Thursday" – it is 50%.

Following restaurants, wine cellars, farmsteads, confectionery and other establishments joined the campaign. This year, they will participate in the "Week of Hungarian Cuisine in Transcarpathia." Applications from establishments, that wish to participate in the campaign, are accepted until February 15.

The campaign in Transcarpathian region will take place in the period from 27 of February to 5 of March.
