On October 3, 2019, a piano concert of guests from Mexico DUO PETROF will take place in Uzhgorod.
DUO PETROF is a piano duet composed of Anatoliy Zatin and Vlada Vasilyeva, who started their concert activity in 2003.
The duo has performed extensively and successfully in the most famous concert halls in Mexico, the US, Asia and Europe, recorded four albums. During its 15 years of activity, the duo has won wide recognition and many prestigious awards.
Anatoliy Zatin, a native of Uzhgorod, is a world-renowned composer, conductor, pianist and teacher, professor at the Institute of Fine Arts (IUBA) at the University of Colima (Mexico). He is the winner of the UNICEF Medal of Honor for his fruitful work as a pianist and conductor, as well as the highest international award of UNESCO and the Grand Prize in Academic Music – the Mozart Gold Medal (2015).
Vlada Vasilyeva is the winner of many international competitions in America, Canada and Europe, the winner of the Nadia Rosenberg Prize in New York, professor at the University of Colima and the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City (Mexico). She performs as a member of Duo Petrof as well as the soloist and chamber musician with orchestras of Mexico, America, Europe and Asia.
