Fans are not eager to get to Euro’2012 through Transcarpathia yet

Today, on June 8, on the day of the football championship Euro’2012, from 8:00 a.m. in the morning and till 2-3 p.m., about 25-30 cars and vans with the fans passed at the largest border check point "Tisa". Each vehicle housed 3-4 passengers, that is about a hundred foreigners in total, – reported the head of a Chop border squad press service Roman Pavlenko.

Fans, who have crossed the border so far, are mainly from Germany. They were going to see the match of Germany and Portugal, which will be held tomorrow in Lviv.

According to Roman Pavlenko, border guards were expecting the flow of those who cross the border for entry into Ukraine due to the football matches, to increase threefold, so that is why their workload is quite small. A lot more fans, according to the border guards, are crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border near Lviv, and through the air gate of the city of Lion – the airport.
