Experts predict currency crash by the end of the year

The dollar exchange rate may drop to 20 hryvnias before the end of the year – analysts 
This week, the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine has reached a record low in four years – 23.88 hryvnias for one dollar.
But analysts predict that this is not the final figure for this year. According to forecasts, by the end of the year the dollar exchange rate may drop to 20 hryvnias, the Today.ua informs.
“On Saturday, December 7, the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine was consistently going down and dropped to 23.7 hryvnias (at the NBU rate). At the same time, the average price of the dollar in banking institutions, as of December 7, was 23.6 hryvnias for purchase and 23.86 hryvnias for sale. As we can see, at present, the dollar is consistently going to 20 hryvnias,” – the report reads.
Analysts do not say the exact date when the hryvnia will strengthen, or when the dollar will stop falling. However, this may happen not until after December. Some experts find many advantages in this situation, noting that the dollar exchange rate drop will lead to lower prices for goods and services, the cost of which is set in dollars. Those are real estate, imported products and gasoline.
