On October 3 at 4 pm, an exhibition of father and son Volodymyr and Mykola Klimkovich will open in the exhibition hall of the museum.
Volodymyr Klimkovich (1935, native of Russia, resident of Uzhgorod) is a contemporary artist, a talented landscape painter. Reading specialized literature and practicing various painting techniques, he chose one of the most complicated and rare genre of urban landscape – "veduta", which sprang up in the sixteenth century. and has gained popularity in Western Europe, including the Netherlands and Italy.
The artist loves to paint on his canvases the landscapes of Uzhgorod, the Carpathians, as well as the cities and castles of Western Europe.
This exhibition features works that have not been exhibited before. The paintings depict both modern Uzhgorod and its past history.
Mykola Klimkovich (born in 1961, resident of Uzhgorod) is a bright representative of the Transcarpathian Landscape School. His works are distinguished by a bright tone of color, free strokes and diverse composition.
