Exhibition of artist Andrea Pavuk opened in the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod

Holding of exhibitions of famous Transcarpathian artists in diplomatic institutions of neighboring friendly countries has been a long tradition in Uzhgorod.
Thus, yesterday, on January 28, a personal exhibition of a member of the Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, teacher of A. Erdelyi Art College and Transcarpathian Art Institute, Andrea Pavuk, opened in the spacious lobby of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod.
Andrea Pavuk herself said that the majority of the exhibits are still lifes.
– This is a unique and very interesting genre. Artists usually start their careers from still lifes, they learn and improve their technique with them. Unlike other types of painting, when creating a still life, artists create the composition themselves, so they perhaps reveal the inner world of the author the best.
In many of my recent paintings, you can see dolls in Hungarian folk costumes. They are ancient, some are hundred years old, but they are beautiful and inspiring. So I decided that these paintings would fit nicely in this room.
However, the author works in other genres of fine arts, and landscapes are probably her favorite. Visitors can also see a lot of them. The landscapes of Transcarpathia in different seasons, painted in different techniques, are truly fascinating.
