The number of Schengen visas issued to residents of Transcarpathia in 2012 increased by up to 50%. In 2011, about 30 percent of the residents of our region received such visas. These figures were announced during the presentation of the analytical report "Assessing the dynamics of visa policy and practice in the consular offices of Hungary and Slovakia in Transcarpathia", the Zakarpatska Pravda reported.
To note: the VII phase of the visa policy monitoring in the consular offices was held in October-November this year. Its goal is the analysis of the fulfillment of the EU Visa Code, the Agreement on simplification of visa regime between Ukraine and the EU in the consular offices, identification of trends in visa practice of those consular offices.
